BALTRAD: The BALTRAD Project is officially underway!
Summer, 2008
Data loss: During the period June 8 to August 6 2008, the BRDC was unable to mirror its datasets to the on-line archive. Fortunately, datasets in the old file format were saved internally and these have been converted to HDF5 and mirrored to the archive. Unfortunately, not all of the metadata in these files are available, e.g. the quality indicator is not included in the accumulated precipitation products and some of the attributes are bogus.

The BRDC has been successfully migrated to its second-generation platform, and it now generating its products in real time! There have been lots of other developments as well. With the exception of a few periods of data loss, the datasets are complete from the start of the BRIDGE period, ie. from October 1, 1999. The next step is to create a new on-line archive for making these datasets available. This website will be updated shortly with more information.
